Mass Communication Perspective, "80" Literary Phenomenon To Study

One of the important reasons why literature develops is the change of the way to propagate .The creation, publication and acceptance of literature which was created by the writers who was born in 1980s has its own unique and notable characteristics. Since 1990s, the mass media have been taking industrialization as its orientation, and the enormous change has taken place in its external environment condition and internal pattern. The relation between mass media and literature has shown new features through constant adjustment. The mass media have not only been the carriers or mediums of literature but also form new context of literature spreading, prompt literature production and spreading and the writers, editors,readers,literary expressions and so on. .In recent ten years, literature has been facing so various situations and new problems that the culture attribute making literature various and complicated comes out prominently.Besides aesthetic attribute, literature has many other kinds of attributes.We must treat literature as a cultural problem and discuss it in a more complicated context. This thesis mainly explains the diverse relations between literature and era or society and discusses the features of writers and their works in the respect of propagation,popular culture and consumerism..The mass media and writing are continuly developing so all of my analysis does not mean to reach a certain conclusion but offer the instant observation under a view.The thesis has five chapters .Introduction:explain the objects ,ways and meanings of the research in this thesis.Chapter one:demonstrate how mass media prompt the writers born in 1980s to come out. This chapter has four parts.Part one shows that the writers born in 1980s as the only-child's generation are unprecedented.Most of them are rich .They accept good education.The society is more and more harmonious and it offers the writers more chances to select different ways of life and values,which do good to the creation of the writers. Part two shows that the internet provides writers with more chances to write and public.Part three shows that the magazine Meng Ya and the composition match"New Concept Composition"urge many youth to write literary works. Part four discusses the need of the publication and book market to the literary works about the youth.Chapter two : interpret the three characteristics of the writers born in 1980s and their creation.The writers are like stars .They write very quickly.Their works are in the fashion.The paper also analyses the reasons ,the manifestation and the affection. This is a key part of this thesis .Chapter three:criticize the texts.First,criticize the book Criticizing Ten Youth Writers.Some points of its view are valuable.But some of them are not standable .Second,chose some writers and works that have distinctive features and criticize them specifically,like Zhang Yueran, Zhou Hui and so on.Conclusion: express the expectation and hope about the writers born in 1980s.
