Comment On The Theme Of Initiation Of The Writers Born In The 1960s

This thesis chosen includes two key aspects: the writers born in the 1960s and growing up. The former has been analyzed in terms of their background of growing up, their artistic accumulation and aesthetic appreciation reflected in their fiction by many famous scholars. The latter has also been analyzed by a series of master and doctoral theses in the academic community. This thesis puts attention to the fiction whose theme is growth by writers born in 1960s, which means I choose a cross section in a great many longitudinal analyses aiming to making the analyses about the both above meticulous, and hoping to produce new research ideas by means of permutation and combination again. This thesis combines narratology and perusing texts in order to explain the subject powerfully. The whole thesis is divided into introduction and three chapters.In the introduction, the origin about the topic of growth is first introduced in the literary history. Then the compositions of growth from 1919 and related analyses are reviewed. Finally the scope of writers who were born in the 1960s is defined, and investigative process of these writers which has been deepened is reviewed.Chapter 1 mainly studies these writers'narration of the theme of growth. Section 1 analyzed the change of narrative discourse which is applied by this generation of writers in the whole. The history is no longer objective existence which is not changed because of human will. It is a kind of narrative discourse. Everyone has a right of narrate history of themselves in their tongues. Section 2 analyzed concretely these writers'individual fiction of the theme of growth, which differs from any kind of narration of growth before. Section 3 studies the point of view in the text aiming to underlining their creative feature.Chapter 2 focus on a individual's growing pattern. In order to make discussion more clear and logistic, section 1 illustrate all kinds of desire hidden in a individual which opens a individual's growth. Section 2 introduces ways used to go into the world by a growing individual. Facing the adult world, a growing individual peep at the outer world and establish his world of himself by means of deconstructing"father's"authority. After the behavior of patricide which deconstruct the old value system, where a growing individual will go? Section 3 relates growth status in the rough. A growing individual's body and heart suffer heavily in the process of going into the outer world, therefore, he never find out an ideal world. Death and alienation is his destiny.Chapter 3 analyzes spiritual exploration of the fiction. Section 1 explains the reasons why writers of this generation get used to write the topic of growth again and again. There are three reasons. At first psychology and psychoanalysis offer theoretical explanation which underline the childhood memory plays an key role in writers'psychological construct. Secondly, the growing history of writers who were born in the 1960s is so particular that it offers a good artistic angle of view to address the relation between an individual and history. Thirdly, in some extent it implies these writers'anxiety and confusion when they face reality. Section 2 continues to explore spiritual reason behind growth narration. On the one hand, these writers'fiction is to express their think about individual life and existent straits. This generation writers really make literature return to life noumenon, particularly giving their attention to various life statuses controlled by irrational desire. They also cannot help but human nature which is controlled by unknown and mysterious power. On the other hand, writers express their think about existent straits, which means the compositions of writers who were born in the 1960s communicates with the compositions of world's novelists making Chinese literature get higher spiritual value.
