"Bei" sentence is a typical sentence pattern in modern Chinese and has been one of the hotspots in the study of linguistic field. Based on studying and drawing references from previous personages and adopted reasonable connotation of valence grammar ,case grammar and construction grammar, this paper makes a more complete and detailed description of the syntax and semantic characteristics of the whole sentence pattern of "Bei" sentence.This paper falls into five parts:PartⅠintroduces the structural type and characteristics of semantic meaning of the whole sentence pattern of "Bei" sentence.In partⅡandⅢ,we make a detailed analysis of valence types of verbs, verb-centered construction and sentence pattern, structural and semantic characteristics of the center of predicate of "Bei" sentence from the angle of verb valence.PartⅣdiscusses the semantic roles of actants in "Bei" sentence and their restrictive relations with verbs. Firstly, the semantic roles acting as subjects and their valence relations with verbs are analyzed. Secondly, the semantic roles of objects after "Bei" and arisen conditions are analyzed. Thirdly, the conditions of verbs followed by objects in "Bei" sentence are discussed.In partⅤ, the arisen conditions of complements, complement types and the restrictive factors of verbs which decide whether complements appear or not are analyzed.
