During the Second World War, the Jews in Europe suffered persecutionbrutally, near six million Jews died in the inhuman racial massacre. Internalscholars study mainly the persecution and slaughter to the Jews of German,but follow with little interest in the persecution to the Jews of the Vichyregime. France is the first country that emancipated the Jews in the worldby the form of law, why did Vichy regime persecute the Jews? The textdiscuss how the Vichy regime persecute the Jews, then inquire into thereason of the persecution to the Jews from two sides of historical andactual.When the Vichy regime came into power, the government became theleading of the movement of anti-Semitism. The persecution to the Jews ofthe Vichy regime was divided into two periods. In the beginning, it ismainly eliminating the impact of the Jews in French society from publicscopes. In the end, the persecution aimed at the Jews upgraded. The Vichyregime not only rounded up the Jews on a large scale, also deported theJews to Auschwitz.France had the tradition of anti-Semitism. By the analysis to the persecution tothe Jews of the Vichy regime, on one hand it can recurrence the history andrecognize the true face of the Vichy regime, on the other hand it wouldalarm the people and avoid the tragedy re-acted.
