On The Construction Of Political Power In The Cheng Han Regime

ChengHan regime was the separatist regime established in BaShu by the six counties exiles,led by Li family of Cong people in the Jin Dynasty.It was the only ethnic separatist regime in the South during the Jin Dynasty.During the Yuankang period of the Western Jin Dynasty,the two prefectures of Qin and Yongzhou successively broke out the rebellion of Di people and drought.A large number of people in QinYong two prefectures were forced to become refugees,and moved to Bashu for food one after another.Lee brothers who were well-known among the refugees,were appointed by Zhao Xin,the then governor of Yizhou,to gather the refugees and form a refugee army.Later,due to the intensification of the refugees and the aborigines of BaShu,Li Te led his troops to establish a refugee army government in Mianzhu,Yizhou,and continued to fight with the Western Jin government.In the first year of Guangxi(306 A.D.),Li Xiong,the son of Li te,became emperor with the support of fan Changsheng,the leader of Tianshi Taoism in Shu,and named the country Cheng.In the fourth year of Xiankang(338 A.D.),Li Shou,Li Xiong's cousin,abolished Li Qi,Li Xiong's son,as emperor,and changed name to "Han".It was called "ChengHan" in history.Chenghan,one of the Sixteen Kingdoms,was deeply influenced by the situation of the Jin Dynasty and also had a profound impact on the current situation and southwest history.It played an important role in the period of Jin and the Sixteen Kingdoms.As one of the Sixteen Kingdoms,ChengHan could occupy BaShu for more than40 years,which was closely related to its political power construction.There are many complex relations in the regime of ChengHan,such as the relationship between refugees and the aborigines of BaShu,the relationship between ChengHan and the ethnic minorities,the relationship between ChengHan and the governments of the two Jin Dynasties and other separatist regimes,and the relationship between ChengHan and TianshiDao.Many complicated relations must be taken into account in the regime construction of the ChengHan Dynasty.Therefore,the regimeconstruction of the ChengHan Dynasty not only follows the system of the Shu Han Dynasty and the Wei and Jin Dynasty,but also innovates according to the reality.Because of the change of internal and external situation,the regime construction in the period of Cheng and Han is different.In the early stage of the Cheng state,it made great efforts to adjust the contradictory political power construction so that it could stand in BaShu,while in the later stage of the Great Han state,the unbalanced political power construction accelerated the destruction of the regime.The regime construction of Chenghan provided many experiences for later generations to govern the southwest region,and also had a profound impact on the current situation and southwest history.
