Putin On The Ecological Literature

In the late 20th century the global ecological crisis is becoming worse, which gives rise to thought trends of ecology. And ecological literature is a tributary of the thoughttrends. This paper deals with Rasputin's novels--《A farewell to Matyora》,《Thefire》and《The last term》, deciphers the ecological consciousness in the works and explores the ecological creation characteristics of the novels: religious redemption can save ecological crisis; tragedies warn ecological crisis and loss of the soul; returning theme indicates hope of life.《A farewell to Matyora》principally reflects the religious characteristic ofRasputin's ecological creation--religious redemption can save ecological crisis. Thefeatures and thoughts of Polytheism and Christian can be seen everywhere in the novels. The rescue way that writer points out for humankind is religious redemption. We need "love", only with love in the heart can we love nature, love beings. We must feel grateful to nature when we contact it and ask for resources from it. We have to cherish nature as our' own life, because the fate of nature is that of our descendants.《The fire》shows another feature of Rasputin's ecological creation--tragedieswarn ecological crisis and loss of the soul. The villagers in the novel greedily plunder the natural resources and cause serious ecological crisis, which leads to spiritual ecological crisis in the mind of people. Hence, all the social problems are exposed in the fire and bring a series of tragedies. Using these tragedies, writer warns us: it isn't . only a fire in the warehouse, but also a fire in nature and a fire in people's spiritual world. We must protect natural environment, our fine tradition and virtues if we want to change the current situation.The feature of ecological creation in《The last term》is that returning theme indicates hope of life. By comparing the older generation loving nature and land with the younger generation breaking with nature and land, the writer tells people that only returning back to nature and land can they enjoy the hope and happiness of life, still live even when they die, on the contrary, people become ghosts if they separate themselves with their roots.All these characteristics manifest writer's anxiety towards the current situation of environment and humankind's morality in today's world. Rasputin appeals to all people to protect nature and human soul, develop our spiritual ecological harmony when constructing environmental ecological harmony.
