| Since the mid 1990th, DV movie has experienced a zigzag road during its development over a decade. The vaguer definition, uncertain development of new techs, together with the habit accumulated during a long time of watching the traditional film, make DV movie hard to be accepted for audience. Actually, DV movie has its own special aesthetic value. This paper aims to introduce DV movie to more audience, to find the restrictions of the development of DV movie, and to reveal the outlet for DV movie's future. Based on these targets, author selects some DV movies as research objects which are analyzed from mass points of view.This paper makes a definition for DV movie starting from the concept of 'DV itself, and points out that the springing up of DV movie is lead by several factors such as technology, social culture as well as the attitude of movie markers. Propaganda theories are used to analyze DV movie's spreading; and the chapters are organized according to the source, target and path of the propaganda. The main body of this paper, is analysis of text characteristics and abstract of audio/video styles. Author has selected about 10 excellent DV movies and classified them into three categories. These movies are praised as they're accordant to the '95th Dogma Manifesto' in the aspect of the audio/video style. On the other hand, author also indicates that not all the items in the dogma could be applied to DV movie, because DV movie has its unique style. Currently, however, DV movie is facing lots of difficulties. This paper digs into improving the producing-selling mode, substituting and merging of media, and enhancing of the digital technology, through which author hopes to reveal some approaches for DV movie's future. |
