This article attempts to study the content and artistic of the History -intoned ci in the Song dynansty. It consists of four chapters.The first chapter makes a distinction between the History -intoned ci and the Meditation on the past of ci,carding the development of the History -intoned ci.The second chapter discusses the content and the theme's feature of the History -intoned ci, which includes four periods and different historic people and eventes.The third chapter analyses the artistic feature of the History -intoned ci, which includes artistic type , artistic conception and lyric feature.The last chapter discusses the History -intoned ci with specific forms.
