Intentionality is a core issue of contemporary western philosophy. Searle promotes his distinguished theory of Intentionality in the context of Illocutionary Acts theory, and feed it back to explaining issues of language. He did not limit himself in the sphere of linguistic philosophy, but kept on exploring and developing the theory of Intentionality under the back ground of the association of linguistic philosophy and mind philosophy. This paper points out that Searle's theory of Intentionality not only enriches the theory of Illocutionary Acts but also overpass the studying frame of traditional analysis philosophy, and what's further more important is the inspiration that his distinctive mode of analyzing provides for the dilemma that traditional analysis philosophy faces. Especially the referencing and inspiring function of his studying of Intentionality on the basis of naturalism biology for the study of artificial intelligence. Thus this paper displays the specialties of Searle's theory of Intentionality to show the flashing points of his thoughts by basing on fundamental issues of the relationship of human-language-world, by using the theory of Illocutionary Acts to deconstruct the features and frame of Intentionality and redefine Intentionality, by discussing the relationship between the communal Intentionality and the construction of social reality, and by contrasting with Husserl's Intentionality.
