Piano,the western instrument,came to China more than a hundred years ago.The composition of piano music began in the early part of the 20th century.It has experienced a long and complicated process,during which Chinese composers tried hard to integrate our national and folk tones with the weatern traditional composing techniques.Through persevere effors,they implanted The Chinese traditional musical tones into piano composition and they have composed many piano compositions with strong style of nationality.Chinese piano arrangement transcription form ancient music is an important part of the art of Chinese piano composition.Its appearance has deep historical background.With its great charm of nationality,distinct characters of times and profound content of aesthetice,it is more and more concerned around the world.This thesis selects three classical piano arrangement transcriptions from ancient music as the research targot.They are"Flute And Drum a Dusk","Tri-Intonation on the Plum Blossom" and "Tri-Aria on the Broad Road".The thesis discusses them in four respects:Chapter One The Development of Chinese Piano Music.Chapter Two An Introduction of the Appearance And Development of Chinese Piano Arrangment Transcription.Part I The Cultural Background,Causes And the Developmentof the Piano Arrangement Transcription.Part II The Classification of Chinese Piano Arrangement Transcription.Chapter Three A Discussion on the Prototype,the background and the Music Analysis of Three Transcriptions.Part I The Prototype,the Changing Situation in the History and the Background of the Three Transcriptions.Part II The Music Analysis of The Three Transcriptions:1.Form Structuer;2.Harmony;3.Polyphony.Chapter Four A Discussion of the Analysis on Performing Techniques of the Three Transcriptions: Part I The Performing Analysis on the Three Transcriptions. Part II A Summary of the Characters of the Performing Techniques:1.Timber;2. Ornamentation; 3.Arpeggio;4.Line Melody.
