The negative responses are very common and complicated linguistic phenomena. We have had a lot of achievement of negation, but still lack systematical research of the negative response. In order to research it deeper and more systematically, the Research on the Scope of negative responses is limited in the structure of adjacent-double turns. The examples are limited in only one trigger and one response, the contents is complete and independent, too.According to the criteria of beginning with syntactic forms and the context, we divide the negative responses into three types, they are direct negative response, indirect negative response and complex negative response. In the negative responses, the part which contains negative factor is called negative item, the part which doesn't contain negative factor is called continual sentence. We discuss the forms of expression and functional characteristics of negative responses, hardening and weakening of negative responses. If the negative responses haven't continual sentences, which are called zero form, on the other hand , which are called non-zero form. First, we describe the forms of expression and functional characteristics of negative responses, The continual sentences of indirect negative responses and complex negative responses is basically same with the direct negative responses, so we just analyse the continual sentences of direct negative responses and the difference from the direct negative responses. Besides, we will analyse the forms and data statistics.Besides, we will analyse the factors that influence the hardening and weakening of the negative responses, and sum up the different forms.
