Yoon, Dong-joo received many people's love because of his poetic excellence. But, he was a poet who was born in an unfortunate land in an unhappy Japanese colonial period, and who had written poets in an unfortunate situation and been little known in the world until the thirty years since he closed his day by a tragedy death. His life of this sort greatly influenced the evaluation for his work. Until now, there were lots of results in the four areas to analyze the world of his poem: a biographical research, a historical research on literature, a historical research on his spirit, and a research on a Christian viewpoint. But, most, of results were not about discussion on the cssence of literature, and there were not many researches on the image of nature and on the origin of it that! showed in the several places in his works.A poet is a historical creature of a nation and is under the influence of the nation's culture and literature. The Yoon's inclination for the harmony with nature, the spirit of intimacy, and the reverence of the heaven were also discovered in the pastoral poems that had used the nature as main theme. A heteronymous frustration by the colonial domination made Yoon be fascinated with the nature, and in the same way, this inclination was found in the Lyric literature by Songgang and Ko-san in the Chosun times who were heteronymously fascinated with the nature. This effect was discovered through the analysis of the image of'yearning' and the used poetic word. In the special image, the heaven, that most appeared in Yoon's poetry, included a religious meaning. Not only he founded the intimate attribute of the heaven through the objects of yearning, but also he sung the abstruse mystery in a star again. The star means a dream and a hope, and is a symbol of yearning. In Yoon's poets, the object of yearning, even though there are some different opinions, is God in Christianity as a whole. This image of yearning is connected to the'yearning' of Songgang and Ko-san for their king in the Chosun times. The image, that extremely many appeared in the relation of God to the human, is'I'. The reason is that Yoon's poet had a form of confess ion. The fundamental things, which'I' had as the subject of confession, are the agony like'yearning','loneliness', and'shyness.' The Yoon's shyness is not the one of a relative meaning, but the one of a ethic and religious meaning by human who considers conscience as the human's instinct, or the one for the absolute God. However, the internal and external discord of shyness toward self completion, is not influenced only by Christianity, but can be connected to the classical-scholastic Confucian thought that was a dominant idea to seek for the integrity in the Chosun times. In the image of time, the main poetic word is the'night,' which was appeared 27 times in his poet. The night is the fundamental time and the mythical time. It is the time of coming and going the hirth and death. In the time of night, the poet prays as destiny seeing stars. In the night, the poet carries out the process of leaping into the situation of hope, which he wants to spread the limited himself into the width of the blue heaven and which yearns the state of the cosmic harmony. The Yoon's poet is the most splendid and pure-hearted: a long life, the miracle of revival that rises stepping on the old body and reality and makes a new individual, the appearance of circulating a season, the firm faith, and the desire of overcoming the reality. The rhythm, the musical capacity, and the form developing images of Yoon's poet show that he followed the Lylic literature and the form of a folk song. It means that Yoon is a Korean and is in a stream of the Korean literature. Yoon adopted the nature as his object in his many works. Through the pastoral image of mountains and water in the nature, he showed his positive view for the future, which he did not stay in the tragedy situation of extremely suffering, but showed a hope through the Christian thought.
