China and Korea are adjacent countries on the land, have the close contact for several thousand years. In the history, both countries are closely related and interdepended like lips and teeth, in modern history, both countries have been invaded by the imperialist countries. During the middle and late period of 1900s, both countries' feudal system became more and more corrupt, the contradictions between the landlords and farmers became sharper and sharper, before the splitting and carving up of the imperialist countries, the Chinese government of Qing Dynasty fell in a crisis of existing. Under the situations of the sharpening up of the social crisis and the national crisis, the farmers in China and Korea launched the self saving activities to resist the imperialism and to save the national crisis.In this article, with the center of Jiawu Farmers Rebelling in Korea and the Yihetuan Activities in China happened in late 1900s, the author analysed the deep influence to the Chinese and Korean society by the Jiawu Farmers Rebelling in Korea and the Yihetuan Activities in China, the author carried out a comparative research to the two events as follows: Both of the events happened in the same period, they are comparative in many sides: First, both of the farmers rebelling happened during the late period of feudal societies, they belong to large scale farmers' revolutionary struggle in the modern history period. Second, both of the struggles happened after the invasion of the imperialist countries; both of them have the nature of anti feudalism and imperialism. Third, both of them suffered from the intervention and suppress of the outer powers, and they carried out the strong struggle with the outer invasion powers. Fourth, both of them were defeated, but all of them prompted the process of Social modernization of China and Korea.The author attempted to deeply expound the samilarities and differences of both countries' anti imperialism and anti feudalism farmers' movement from the points of sociology, to research the samilarities and differences among them, to discover the real reason to cause the samilarities and differences. One side, to tell the great power of the farmer's movement in the process of the promotion of the social modernization. In another side, it can reflect the common regulars of both countries' modern social development, this explored a wider research field for the further development of the history.The article is consisted of five chapters.In chapter one, the author briefly explains the research purpose, objects and methods of the thesis.In chapter two, the author expounded the deep influence of the Jiawu Farmers' War to the Korea's social innovation, the author analysed the function of the war in the shaking of the foundation of the Korean feudal system, the formation of the high tide of the anti feudal system and anti invasion struggles. The author clarified its historic significance in the promotion of the national awakening, then to promote the process of Korea's modernization.In chapter three, the author analysed the influence of the Yihetuan Movement to the Chinese society. The author expounded it in three sides: Firs, the influence to the outer invasion power and China's feudal system. The second, the influence to the promotion of the national revolutionary thinking trends. The third, the influence to the promotion of China's modernization.In chapter four,the author analysed samilarities and differences of the two countries' farmers' movement to the societies of both countries.In chapter five, the conclusion summarizes the whole contents of the thesis.
