Saint-saens G Minor Piano Concerto With The Teaching

The French composer Camille Saint-Saens composed many piece, his mainly contribution to piano music is piano-concerto. In his five piano concerto, the second piano concerto in g minor is the most popularity. In the 19th century ending French composers, the Saint-Saens 's piano music inherited the classical style, melts into French's skillful wisdom and humorous, the disposition and the clear form which teases, has formed his unique piano music style. His music influenced afterwards French composer Gabriel Faure and Maurice Ravel.This article mainly analysis the performance and the teaching in Saint-Saens's second concerto which is the most famous piano piece. The article divides into three parts. the first part introduced French culture, the historical background, Camille Saint-Saens's biography and his influence to French music, Saint-Saens's music creation characteristic and his esthetics thought content and so on. The second part analysis the melodys, harmonious, keys, rhythms and so on, through these research, analysis Saint-Saens's some innovations place in concerto structure. The third part proposed some own opinions which should pay attention at the piano performance and some suggestions in two piano cooperation. It is concluded that this thesis would have helpful significance to those who are going to learn the musical style and basic playing methods of Camille Saint-Saens.
