The "borrowing" has become the most attractive means of modern art since the beginning of 20th century. It is a way of using the existing materials or the mass culture forms and symbols to deliberately realize the work's spiritual purpose. Against the background of postmodernism, the way of "embezzlement" becomes more and more popular. It abandons the spiritual garden of modernistic language forms but shows the spiritual power of criticism and sheds the light of thought and wisdom. This is an objective and necessary choice that has been made in the times of information globalization and readership. Its existence value lies in its functions of "deconstruction" and "irony". Taking the chance of individuals and the wide connections among various cultures, "borrowing" is achieving the magnificence that modern art imposes on society and human thought itself. Meanwhile, it also runs the risk of lack of personal style and loss of independent thinking ability brought by the homogeneity of medium culture.
