In the literature community of Ming Dynasty, Xiejin was a special figure who on one hand was a officer of high position, on the other hand was a famous talented calligrapher. Although his works are hugely influenced by the age, they still stand out with particular traits. This essay showcases Xiejin's special personal experiences and the origin of his style and unveils the overall feature of Xiejin's calligraphy by analyzing all kinds of his handwriting styles. In particular, the analyze of his cursive hand discovers the relationship between his living environment and his handwriting styles, further more, explains the in-depth reason why the later generations hold different opinions about his calligraphy. Besides, Xiejin's calligraphic theory plays a significant role in his age. In light of which, this essay investigates chunyuzashu and makes clear that the statement that chunyuzashu were fake version is absolutely misunderstanding. This essay is also convinced that Xiejin played a great part in the forming of taiga style in early Ming dynasty. His calligraphy represents the whole calligraphic characteristics in his time. What's more, his uninhibited cursive hand and his view of predominance had a huge influence in handwriting styles in the whole Ming dynasty.
