In reference to vocal music teaching in normal colleges, elaborate planning and effective teaching strategies play a key role in accomplishing teaching aims, improving teaching quality as well as promoting the development of teachers and students.Based on the several basic theories on vocal music teaching, this essay aims to research into the development of relevant teaching materials and strategies, looking back on the development of teaching materials devoted to this area, which range from the sole musical score textbooks to the co-existence of musical score textbooks and music theory textbooks, and then the appearance of audio-visual teaching materials. Meanwhile, the vocal music class changes from single-student mode to the practice of pair-work or group-work mode, from "teacher-centered" to "student-centered", from "technical ability centered" to "technical and intellectual abilities equally centered". With the advancement of modern Information Technology, Computer Assisted Instructions greatly enrich the means and methods of vocal music teaching in normal colleges.In Part 4 of this essay, some suggestions are put forward regarding efficient teaching methodology, effective teaching strategies and relevant teaching aids depending on the students of different learning styles.
