As far as the visual styles, the formal language and the internal spirits of"The 1970's Paintings"are concerned, these oil paintings are showing a creative tendency which is called a cartoonlization and"come-to-the-surface". As a point of these views, the 1970's Painters not only distinguish themselvies from their formers with the Age features and their internal spirits, but also their works reflect the existential experiences of the Chinese contemporary youth in modern cities. On the whole, the author points out that"The 1970's Paintings"is an inevitable result of many factors in the changing society of modern China.
