Zhang Jing-sheng, the renowned scholar of the early 20th century, is not only the Chinese sexology, the initiator of China's family planning, the first great debate of love, but also the pioneer of China's modern folklore, the first Chinese translator of Rousseau's "Confessions ", the first Chinese scholar who put forward the concept of logic Science. From the vision of reality and culture, he put forward a systematic aesthetic ideals-"beautiful outlook on life""beautiful social organization"which are practicable and farsighted, reflecting the spirit of the times. Nowadays when both ecology crisis and the crisis of spirit are unprecedented, a secondary thinking of the essence of Zhang Jing- sheng's aesthetic education and the modern values are of far-reaching significance.The content can be divided into three chapters.Chapterâ… mainly concerns about the time background of the formation of Zhang's Aesthetic Education, including the political and economic situation, social education, as well as his early academic activities, and analyze the theoretical sources. Eight years'studying abroad had a great influence to the formation of Zhang Jing-sheng's idea. modern Western philosophy, particularly the life philosophy, aesthetic ideology, Romanticism, aesthetic, and science of sexology and other advanced thinking are the theoretical cornerstones of his Aesthetic Theory while the long-term life in the West gave his direct emotional influence, On the basis of various ideologies Integration, Zhang Jing-sheng constructed its own unique aesthetic concept with delicate and sensible thinking, that is to respect and concern the life and development of the individual, to create and organize with beautiful outlook on life and to give a full play to the extension of life.Chapterâ…¡is the core of this paper which discussed in detail Zhang Jing-sheng's aesthetic thinking from three aspects: the nature and characteristics of beauty, the beautiful outlook on life, the beautiful outlook on the social organization. Zhang Jing-sheng believes that beauty should act as the source of all life, all social undertakings and organizations have to regard beauty as the basis; concerning the relationship among genuine, goodness and beauty, beauty is higher than the other two; it is the mixture of material and spirit; Beauty should have the greatest utilitarian. Basing on this understanding and proceeding from the principle of scientific and creative integration, Zhang Jing-sheng designed the life of beauty which included the beautiful clothing, food and shelter, sports, profession, science, art, sexual education, entertainment and so on. He regarded the beauty of food and clothing, the beauty of sports, the beauty of sex education, the beauty of arts and the beauty of outlook of life as the same value. To build a society full of friendship and beauty, establish faith and worship of the beauty and love, complete beauty governing policy and organize extremely fairly and freely, according to the reality of china he put forward four transitional approaches to achieve the ideal of beauty prosperous society, that is"independent individual","cooperative society","independent right to education" and "Emotional international faction".Chapter III is about the enlightenment from Zhang Jing-sheng's ideas of aesthetic education. As a practicer who did specific operations in the field of aesthetic education, Zhang Jing-sheng put forward many practical ideas according to the daily life of our national people. Although an element of fantasy can be found in his thought, he is the people who are based on the democracy; freedom and human liberation in "May 4th" era and attempts to make every member of our society take on the characteristic of beauty and love. The awareness of the economic, awareness of ecology and awareness of the humanities contained in his thought are good medicine to cure the swelling desires for material, moral declining and the deficiency of humanistic spirit caused by the highly development of material culture. It embodied in three aspects : the inspiration for the building of a conservation-oriented society we get from the principle of"beautiful economy", for fostering perfect personality we get from"regarding profession and science as art", for preventing the overflowing of emotion we get from"the unifying of life and appreciating".
