A situation comedy (sitcom) is a form of television programs originated in Europe and the U.S. with a long developing history, which proves that this kind of television program has a significant development potential.The Chinese sitcom, which is a product combined foreign producing pattern and the situation of China, has passed fifteen years since 1993. In its development history, Ying Da's product played an important role and outshined other sitcom products in a long period. With the coming of 21st Century, there are more and more creation groups of sitcoms in China. After"Story of A Cooking Squad"and"My Own Swordsman"were put on screen successively, Shang Jing was known by television audiences. Under the condition that Ying Da's sitcoms has been earning a high audience rating, a series of sitcoms directed by Shang Jing became more and more popular, which provides thought-provoking meaning. In additional, compared with other sitcoms, Shang Jing's works show something new, which seems to declare a new development direction.By taking a whole view of the development condition of Chinese sitcoms, we can find that, compared with its development, the theoretical study is insufficient. At president, there are no monographs on Chinese sitcoms. Most of the studies focused attention on Ying Da's family sitcoms; others are mostly short reviews, or sensory comments about some certain sitcom works. There are not much works on theoretical analysis of sitcoms and less works on its new development.Under this background, this thesis pays close attention to the new achievement of Chinese sitcoms, includes Shang Jing's sitcoms into the scope of study, reveals its creation rule, and points out the development direction of Chinese sitcoms.Chapter I: the standing out of Shang Jing's sitcom in Chinese sitcom field. The arising of Shang Jing's sitcom is inseparable from the birth of Chinese sitcom, stands for a new development stage. This chapter includes two parts. Firstly, it reveals the necessity of the sitcom's taking root in China and analyzes the result of its birth in three aspects: 1) the Chinese culture, especially the development of the movie and TV culture, provided fertile soil for it; 2) the well-development of the sitcom abroad, especially in the U.S., provided a suitable external environment; 3) the efforts of the first directors of Chinese sitcoms such as Ying Da. The Chinese sitcom is a product combined foreign producing pattern and the situation of China, which is the prerequisite of the arising of Shang Jing's sitcom products. Secondly, by breaking through the old modes and diversifying subjects, Shang Jing stood out among other Chinese sitcom creation groups.Chapter II: Shang Jing's inheritance and innovation of Chinese sitcom creation. This chapter mainly analyzed the creation mode, revealing Shang Jing inherits and develops Chinese sitcoms, and his creation's defects. Including three aspects: 1)traditional arts from the humorous approach, mainly absorbed crosstalk ,comedy irony language skills, using the performing arts, such as drama performances means exaggerated, and Various dialects"hodgepodge"effect brought about by the comedy; 2)a unique model, including perspective of civilians with cartoon characters, "Six young people to" set the conventional role, "Cup of water crisis" narrative mechanism and the reaction of reality; 3)Calling a variety of film language, including Lens language use, and the voices of "canned laughter", The expansion of space, etc.Chapter III: culture analysis of Shang Jing's sitcom. This chapter regards Shang Jing's sitcom as cultural phenomenon, analyzes the internal reason of its dissemination and acceptance, mainly in three aspects: 1) according to the background of the arising of Shang Jing's sitcom products, it is popular culture and meets TV audiences'spiritual demands of revelry; 2) according to the age structure of his TV audiences, the cultural characters of paying attention to popular culture, reflection of time spirit and post-modern meets the mental demands of the young generation.By inheriting from Chinese sitcoms, Shang Jing's products realize article artistic breakthrough and innovation in creation mode.
