College Music Education is a subject of music education, which is created for the students whose majors are not music. It includes some education forms, such as music teaching( music lessons),practice of music arts (musical societies ),campus musical and cultural activities and so on. Not only does music teaching have some advantages) such as systematic strongly content,extensive coverage of the knowledge,the strong compatibility for the knowledge in the relevant fields of the Arts and culture,the periodic pattern of learning and gradual degree of difficulty , it also can be applied to the university students of different levers. For the ordinary college students, music teaching has become the most popular way to accept the school music education. At present, China's college music education is booming. However, it is not perfect in some aspects of subject's construction. In the course of teaching, some shortcomings lie in the parts of teaching aims,teaching methods,communication between teachers and students and teaching materials. In addition, some theories and concepts to optimize teaching have seldom applied to the College Music Education.Constructivist Learning Theory is based on the scientific research about the psychology. It provides the scientific teaching concept and teaching methods for modern education. For sever years, it has generally accepted by the educational circles at home and abroad. From the perspective of teaching design, this article, which the systematic approach is used in, is engaged in the study of the theory and practice in the field of music teaching in the colleges, which the core of Constructivism is applied to. The article is composed by three sections: introduction, text, conclusion. By the means of showing the problems, the introduction stresses the aims and significance of research and clarifies the concept of Constructivism, and offers the ways of research. The text includes three parts. Based on the analysis about the learners and teaching aims and problems that appear during the teaching, the first part confirms the position of music teaching in the colleges. The second part studies systematically the teaching design of the constructive music lessons , according to the order of the design of analysis about the early stage of teaching,the situation's design of the introduction,the design of elements in the activities. From the perspective of the counteraction that teaching evaluation makes on the teaching activities, the third part shows what kind of methods of teaching evaluation are suitable for the teaching activities in the music lessons of constructivism and can promote them.
