Marcel Roust, the great forerunner of the stream-of-consciousness novel. His Representative work "Remembrance of Things Past" is considered as precedent of the stream-of-consciousness novel. At present, in the west, the research about the work and the author, has already reached certain level. In 1991, the work's Chinese version published .From that time, Chinese researchers have started the research to this classic work, and have also got very big accomplishment. Nowadays, looking back the history, it is necessary to make a summary of our research.This thesis exactly set out from this aspect. And the thesis mainly includes three parts: the author and the work, the current condition of translation in China, the current Study of the situation and the impact of this work over Chinese writer.In Part I of this thesis, begin with introducing the author, this thesis have recorded his motivation mainly from three aspects. Finally the author argued that work has recorded author's entire life.In Part II, the author, mainly Summarize the present translation condition about "Remembrance of Things Past" . From 1934, a part of Mr. Bian zhilin' s translation in "the west window assembles" , to 1991 this classic work' s translation of Yilin Press, it took a long and hard time to translate the classic work. Besides, because the edition was translated by many people, so the styles were hard to reach the accordance. So, Yilin press and the Shanghai Yiwen press, re-translate this work.In Part III, author mainly discusses the current study situation in China. In this part, mainly have two aspects: the subject and the narrative. In my opinion, the subject research has the priority in China. And it has got very big accomplishment especially on the time and the subject.Certainly, there are still few scholars begin the research from other aspects. Generally speaking, Chinese researches are gradually reaching the profundity. Finally, author did simple arrangement about the affection of this work to Chinese writer and Chinese literature .These affections have conscious aspects, and the art of writing.Finally, although the work "Remembrance of Things Past" meets with Chinese reader comparing late, Chinese studies proceed deeply and maturely. Be accompanying Chinese and Western cultural exchange, Chinese research will certainly be more mature.
