The thesis makes a comparatively comprehensive analysis of the contingent classification in the view of taxonomy, the main analyses focuses on the following aspects: 1.The meaning of contingency. It includes four aspects as follows:①Contingency, closely interrelated with possibility and reality, is the special possibility and the intermediate links leading to the reality;②Being different from the accidental phenomenon, contingency belongs to the category of essence the same as necessity;③The contingency does not exclude and deny causality, and the causality is not equivalent to the necessity, accidental causes can also cause causal link;④The contingency is not just the complementarity and manifestation of the necessity, it is true only under the specific conditions, which are in the necessity of economic activities and the contingency of non-economic activities. 2.The classification of contingency. The contingency should be divided into eight categories, including positive and passive contingency, external and internal contingency, natural and social contingency, and the contingency which causes quantitative change and qualitative change. 3.The significance of the contingent classification. The contingency can be better understood and the dialectical relation between contingency and necessity can be better grasped by classification, which has great theoretical and practical significance.
