Buffoonery is an art form, which inserts the opera performance. It includes not only the funny deeds, but also the funny languages. Buffoonery is a technical word exclusive for opera. It is a narrow sense affiliated to the broad sense of opera, for example, the broad sense of ke includes character's action, expression and notification of stage effect. The broad sense of bai includes every character's words in opera. With a long history in China, buffoonery appeared at the same time as opera. Buffoonery appeared almost in every opera. Although buffoonery is only a small element of opera, it can reflect the glory of tradition Chinese literature. The thesis analyzes specifically the drama esthetics spirit of buffoonery on the basis of reading traditional Chinese operas.The thesis is made up of foreword, text and ending.Two parts are included in the foreword. One is literature review, the other is significance and value of choosing the topic. Research achievement about the topic is listed in the first part. Feasibility and difficulties of writing the thesis are included in the second part.There are three parts in the thesis text:Part one: The appearance and development of buffoonery. This part is made up of four verses. This part analyzes the appearance cause of buffoonery through researching buffoonery's conception, formation and development. The part indicates that the appearance of buffoonery is influenced by our literature tradition and traditional opera system.Part two: The basic formation of buffoonery in operas. This part is made up of two verses. This part analyzes the relation between buffoonery and operas, analyzes two typical skills of comedy, generalizes the basic formation of buffoonery on the basis of reading traditional Chinese operas.Part three: The drama esthetics sprit of buffoonery. This part is made up of four verses. The part generalizes drama esthetics sprit of buffoonery through analyzing buffoonery in specific operas. For example, it includes buffoonery's praise spirit, ironic spirit, neutral spirit, entertainment spirit and so on. The part also analyzes the complicated reasons that lead to these traditional opera esthetic spirit. In a word, the formation of the spirit are influenced by our geography environment, national psychology , social materialism and literature tradition.The ending part generalizes the processing course of buffoonery research briefly. Combining to contemporary opera, this part also indicates the positive influence that buffoonery has on contemporary literature and art. Buffoonery in our tradition operas are established on the basis of our national psychology. Because it has entertainment effect and teaching effect, so it can maintain strong vitality in the long history of opera.
