Philosophical Reflection Of The Value Of Human Life

Human's life is the most precious in the world. Society and everyone should show loving care for it. But, human's life is in crisis although the science and technology developed fast and material wealth greatly rich. We think knowing and realizing human's life value is the key to save human's life from crisis. So we will try to probe into human's life value from the angle of Marxist philosophy in order to arousing human's life consciousness and realizing human's life value. The thesis will be composed of four parts as following:The first part is mainly to expound about the human's life in philosophy. On the base of combing and analyzing the notion of life in the past, combining the characteristics of human's life, we sum up the philosophical notion of human's life. It is the mode of existence of material being socialized and leaded by spirit. Human's life is composed by material life, spiritual life and social life. It has four characteristics, namely: self-reliant, unique, transcendent, integrate.In the second part of this thesis, we will probe into the notion, expression and speciality of human's life value. First, we will illustrate the philosophical notion of value. On this base, we get the implication of human's life value. Human's life value is the significant relation between the need of subject and the attribute of human's life. Human's life value has three forms of expression, they are material life value, spiritual life value and social life value. It has the following characteristics: supreme, historical, indirect, creative and self-possession.In the third part of this thesis, we will explore the ways to realize human's life value. The realization of human's life value need the conditions of both subject and object. The subjective condition demands people have a correct outlook to human's life value, it contains three aspects: worshipping life, perfecting life and practicing energetically. The objective condition also concerns three parties: developing market economy to raise the material living standard; developing democratic politics to enrich people's social life; constructing harmonious culture to reconstruct people's spiritual homeland. These objective conditions will benefit people to fully realize human's material life value, spiritual life value and social life value.The fourth part is to probe into the evaluation of human's life value. On the base of analyzing the notion and effect of evaluation, we will expound the notion and effect of the evaluation of human's life value. The evaluation of human's life value is that subject judges human's life value according to his inner measure. Evaluating human's life value is very important because it guides people's thinking and practicing, concerning the attitude to human's life, affecting the degree of realization of human's life value, influencing the development of individual and society. There are two criterions when we evaluate human's life value. One is to benefit the individual existence and development, the other is to benefit the social existence and development. Also, we should obey three principles when evaluating human's life value, namely: the principle of equality, the principle of all-round and the principle of history.
