Chi Zijian is an important member in contemporary literary scene. She is always committed tothe village. With the female-specific experience and rich imagination, her novels have examinedfemale presence and life awareness of rural women. Her novels reflect the fate of women and thefemale experience, and her representative works include Under Tree, Old Time's Mill , Yangge,Breeze Enters Forest, Reversion Flight Demon, River is flowing, Flower Food, Kiss Potato, andDances. These novels narrate the challenges women face and the status of rural women, describethe survival of women and psychological conditions of the course, and present the value of femalelife. The important spiritual theme of human nature runs through many great novels, from whichreveals a number of profound reflections on traditional culture and concept of gender, examinesfemale consciousness profoundly. These novels constructed the ideal pattern of harmonious genderrelations by writing women's life desire. Taking advantage of this, Chi Zijian's novels have formedone kind of critique strength to face the common custom, and have explored a path to thedevelopment of literature.This paper is divided into four parts, in which integrated research methods of feminist theoryand text analysis can be used to analyze rural women's experiences in Chi Zijian's novels. The firstchapter analyzes female survive in the village, and seeks for the female status through text analysis.The first chapter uncovers the tradition concept of sex,examines the male-centered culture in which"female" is defined by negative. The second chapter mainly analyzes questions which exist inwomen, explains the female self-awareness and their rebellion against traditional moral values. Thethird chapter mainly examines women's body consciousness, the desire for individual dignity andthe pursuit of liberty, discusses the free and happy experiences of women's participations in thepublic and private spheres the novels describe, from which we can explore the female maincharacter and the glorious life women have. The last chapter attempts to construct the ideal patternof natural desire and sexual harmony, and demonstrates the pursuit of the original civilizationthrough discussing the different attitudes to village and city. There is an intrinsic clue in these fourparts which devotes to explaining the human care in Chi Zijian's novels. The conclusion sums upthe significance and impact of Chi Zijian's women writing in China.
