As an important area of literary theory and aesthetics research, pessimistic theory has being concerned by the previous theorists. Nietzsche, the man who first made the discovery of "the death of God", is a real pursuit of beauty, a truly philosopher who practices his own philosophy. By his thinking of the pessimistic theory, Nietzsche left a heavy sum in the aesthetic history.From the pessimistic theory which opposite the traditional conception of rationalism, Nietzsche starting his theory: the Greek tragedy was generated in the conflict of Apollo and Dionysus, the essence of tragedy is the combination of God and Dionysus which based on the team of satyrs, by this, Nietzsche took art from the maid freed status of dialectical philosophy, which had eventually become the leading force in the arena of philosophy. At the same time he also looked forward to revitalizing the national spirit, extracting from the crisis of modern culture, and relieving life through tragedy.Nietzsche traced the Greek tragedy's glory development until to the destruction process, he then degenerated Greek tragedy with the spirit of the life trajectory of the decay inherent linked up Greek tragedy that ultimately destroyed by the union of Euripides and Socrates. Euripides advocated Realism; he used his resourcefulness to weaken or resolve the conflicts, then, tragedy gradually evolved to ethical drama. So people began to scramble in front of petty and collaboration, losing the spirit of the pursuit of higher goals; Meanwhile, the world began a long campaign against tragedy which was called the philosophical movement by Socrates, it reflected on the eternal truth and the pursuit of the ultimate goal, the overall standard of the world, the longing and moral order. All of which had caused arts parted ways with the truth. Truly, people lost the natural human feelings, without experience of tragedy, people becoming utility numb to go and beg in this world.Nietzsche's view on tragedy provides people with profound insight. Tragedy is a mirror; it reflects human's real state. Human want to breakthrough the figure from it's' inside diverse phenomenon, seeing the world and their true life, capturing the survival comprehension from the tragedy.This thesis takes the Pessimistic theory as the main clue, as well as systematic discussion on Nietzsche's tragic aesthetes. The full thesis can be divided into four parts:The first part based on the ideology of ancient Greek and Schopenhauer's philosophy, this Part deals with the development of Nietzsche's tragic ideology which comprises both the inheritance of relative theory since the ancient Greece and creative Points of Nietzsche's tragic theory. To begin with the meaning of "Apollo" and "Dionysus", the second Part has made a systematic generalization in order to have a complete knowledge of tragic aesthetics.Through analysis the spirit of music, the third part try to get understanding of Nietzsche's new interpretation on the tragedy euphoric its.The fourth part discusses the reason of tragedy's decline, explore Nietzsche's modern Enlightenment.
