Barpque is an important period of the history of music development. During this period, the technique of music creation and singing made great progress, due to the birth of opera and the prevalence of eunuch singers.George Frideric Handel is a major representative of this era. As a model of barpque, He played an important role in putting forward the development of European Music. He made numerous works of many kinds, among which the opera and oratorio were the most famous. He reached the peak of oratorio by his Messiah.This article chooses the Messiah as object of studying soprano aria. It tried to conclude the specialty of the aria by analyzing particular music of aria, annotate singing requirements, such as pronunciation in English aria, using ornaments in oratorio, singing long sentences, ambulation of quick musical scale, based on my singing practice. This article should be useful for mastering the whole style of Barpque oratorio soprano aria.
