Sun Zhijun's Meticulous Character Study Of The Painting Style

Fine brushwork figure painting in modern and contemporary China, a combination of both western and Chinese painting styles, is assuming a new look of vitality. This thesis, aims to conduct a detailed study on Sun Zhijun's painting style and disclose revelation it can bring to us. Sun, whose major painting theme is the prairie, has been working for years on the exploration and research of fine brushwork figure painting in modern China which features predominantly Chinese painting style and also has drawn strengths from western paintings, and has formed his unique style of realistic painting which is different from the traditional and modern ones on the same theme.
