The Research On Formal Language Of "New Fine Brushwork Painting"-and My Diploma Project

The purpose of art is to express and reflect the spirit of an age.The innovation of artistic works depends on the multivariate artistic language form and its unique expression method.Artistic creation is not simple reproduction of natural images,but complex and subjective creation based on tradition,which focuses on the presentation of spirit through appearance.However,we must not blindly pursue the innovation of form or technique only,for the more important thing is to convey themes and spirits.Subjective form of art is aimed to convey the creator's inner thoughts and emotions,therefore,real artistic creation should express its own cultural connotation.This paper starts with the present situation of “new fine brushwork painting”,and focuses on its new elements such as language expression,modelling “setting”,and presentation of interest and idea,to explore the individuality of artists as well as grasp the commonness of times.Meanwhile,I would like to discuss about the painting language and art form of the painters who have a certain influence on new fine brushwork painting field,such as SongYanjun,FanChunxiao,LuoHanlei,ZhengQingyu,XuHualing,ShenNing and so on,and to explore their inspiration for our artistic creation.At the same time,on the basis of my own final-year work,I would also analyse the connotation and social value of figure painting,conception of formal language,consideration of "specific image,artistic conception" and "fine brushwork painting,freehand brushwork painting,",expression setting and emotion reflection,treatment of technique,texture and tone,and the meaning of title.According to my experience in painting,this paper expounds the formation and aesthetic requirements of the new painting language in the modern context.
