The study of the history of Chinese must be based on the detailed and reliable gram matical research of a special book.Song Shu is a book written by Shen Yue of the Southe rn Dynasties Liang.As a history work of the Six Dynasties person records the Six Dynas ties matter,which language is reliable and is much similar to the spoken language at that time.Therefor,Song Shu is quite useful to our research on the Middle Ages Chinese la nguage.Since continuously,academic circles pay most attention to the annotation and glossary explanations of words in the research on Song Shu.But the research is short in the study of grammar.This article takes the object of study by Song Shu,carries on the analysis,the research to the numeration.This article mainly the numeration has carried on the generalized analysis inspection from following four aspects to Song Shu:First,I decided on the systematic formation of numerals in Song Shu and described the Basic numeral,Numerals auxiliary and Synthesis numeral,which form the system.Me anwhile,I undertook special analysis of the new usages of special Coefficient numeral in SongShu,such as "er(二),liang(两),shuang(双),zai(再)".For example,the differences between "er(二)"and "liang(两)","liang(两)" itself can be used as subj ect or object while"shuang(双)" is usually put before a verb as adverbial.In addition, the various grammatical functions of non-numeration are also listed in the essay in detail.Second,we divided the numerals in Song Shu into six kinds:Cardinal number,Ordi hal number,Approximate number,Asking number,Fraction,Multiple based on the research standards of our ancestors.Each kind is described at length.I uncovered the new usage -s of each kind,for example,the approximate number presented the table multiple relation s new form such as "Shiriwuri(十日五日)".The fraction's D type(denominator +fen+zhi +numerator)was already mature,e.g."denominator+numerator" can be used as a gramm atical unit in a sentence.Two new forms of asking numberwere appeared,e.g."Jixu(几许)","Duoshao(多少)"Third,I did much research into the sentence patterns of numerals in Song Shu,especi -ally the numeration,made clear about clues of their development,summarized the rules of their evolvelment and pointed out differences and similarities of several individual numeration.Final,I also use the contemporary theories on linguistics briefly analyzed the numeration in Song Shu and concluded several difference between the Noun Classifier numeration and the Verb Classifier numeration in Syntactic relations of semantic point.
