A Study On The Quantifiers Of Dunhuang Manuscripts

Abstract/Summary:
Based on the bamboo slips of Han dynasty in Dunhuang as the main research materials,combining with corpus,using the method of compare synchronic and diachronic,this paper systematically analyzes the numeral,quantifier and quantity representation of bamboo slips of Han dynasty in Dunhuang,reflects the usage of the quantifier in it and enriches the research contents of it.This paper is divided into six chapters.The preface mainly introduces the significance of the topic selection,the unearthed condition,the research actuality,the method of research and the difficulty of this paper.The first chapter mainly discusses the types of the numerals of bamboo slips of Han dynasty in Dunhuang.According to the configuration and exhaustive analysis,the numeral in the bamboo slips of Han dynasty in Dunhuang can be divided into four categories:cardinal numerals,ordinal numbers,approximate numbers and fractional numerals.The cardinal numeral contains coefficient words,digit word and compound word.The ordinal number contains bass class、"再" and class x.The approximate number contains numeral conjunction and other words.The fractional numeral contains Ban which means a half,Da ban which means two-thirds and Shao which means one-third.The second chapter mainly discusses the types of quantifier in bamboo slips of Han dynasty in Dunhuang.According to the configuration and exhaustive analysis,it can be divided into Measure quantifiers,Time quantifiers and Mometum quantifiers.Among them,the quantifier has individual unit quantifier,collective unit quantifier,measure and measure unit quantifier 3 small class,a total of 52.When the quantifiers are anniversaries,class,class 3 class,a total of 5.Momentum word in the Han Han is still at the stage,only "pass" in 1 case.The third chapter is the numeration of bamboo slips of Han dynasty in Dunhuang.This chapter mainly discusses the numeration from four aspects:the thing-quantity expression method,the action-quantity repression method,the time-quantity repression method and the computation method.It contains seven genres of the thing-quantity expression method,a action-quantity repression method and four genres time-quantity repression method.The computation method includes four specific computation methods of bamboo slips of Han dynasty in Dunhuang.The fourth chapter is the syntactic function of the quantifier in bamboo slips of Han dynasty in Dunhuang.It analyzes the function of the numeral,quantifiers and the number quantifiers in a sentence.The function of the quantifiers in the Han Dynasty was complete,and there were six kinds of functions in the sentence as the subject,the predicate,the object,the attributive,the adverbial and the complement.The fifth chapter compares the number quantifiers between the bamboo slips of Han dynasty in Dunhuang and ShiJi.On the basis of the research results in this field,this part compares the quantifiers of Dunhuang Manuscripts with ShiJi,the representative literatures in the same period.By comparison,It is found that both of the numerals are roughly the same:except for the multiple in ShiJi,both of them includes cardinal numerals,ordinal numbers,approximate numbers and fractional numerals.But the quantifiers of them varies greatly:the word terms in ShiJi such as r”抔","瓨","甔" and so on by the grammaticalization of nouns is not seen in the Dunhuang Manuscripts.And the word terms in Dunhuang Manuscripts which featuring frontier features such as "积","蕳","苣" and so on are not seen in ShiJi.In terms of Momentum quatifiers,both of them are different.In terms of Time quantifiers,ShiJi more than Dunhuang Manuscripts is "旬","纪","世","代".
