Jixi The Huayang Then Tone Experiment Research

This thesis analyses pitch,duration and register of Huayang dialect's mono-syllable tone and bi-syllable tone by experimental method,and trys analysing the pattern of bi-syllable sandhi of Huayang dialect by using the theory of bend-degree abrading and Optimality theory respectively.There are inner differences of pitchs of mono-syllable tone in Huayang dialect:Yinping,Yangping,Yinqu and Rusheng have meloy value's differences of the identical tonal type;Shangheng has three kinds of anamorphosises containing integrated contour tone[213]or[212],[12]which initial portion of contour tone does not descend,[211]which ending portion of contour tone does not ascend.A hypothesis is provided that effected by Qusheng of Putonghua or other facters mono-syllable tonetic value of Qusheng in Huayang dialect becomes middle-dscending tone[31]which has similar tonetic value with Putonghua Qusheng's.Moreover,this change leads to the chang of Yinping in the system of mono-syllable tone.Yinping's value raises and becomes[51]in order to keep difference with Yangqu.The laws of bi-syllable sandhi consist of three.(a),it is general that the former takes changes but the latter does not;(b)the patterns of bi-syllable sandhi are high generalized in terms of the four types of Pingsheng,Shangsheng,Qusheng,Rusheng. There are 36 kinds of tonetic model before taking sandhi,but after taking sandhi there are 24 kinds of tonetic model belonging to 4 types;(c),The pitch of Rusheng in the former position becomes[4]or[5]which is a glottal tone.The Cusheng tone's duration is shorter than Shusheng tones'.Yinping who is high falling tone is the shortest one of Shusheng tones.The contour tone Shanghseng has the longest duration.The duration of tonetic contour located at middle and low registers is longer than the duration of tonetic contour which is at high register.The pattern of bi-syllable sandhi's relative duration.There is great sexual differences of the tonetic register in the tone system.The upper-limit and lower-limit of tonetic register of women are higher than men's respectively.It also has obvious differences of the tonetic register of the tonetic types between weman and men.The women's upper-limit,lower-limit and span of register of all tones are higher than men's respectively.In the bi-syllable sandhi,the upper-limit of register of everyone becomes high and the lower-limit of register becomes lower and the span of register becomes large.The bi-syllable sandhi of Huayang dialect takes two methods to abrade the bend degree of sandhi.One is to match all types of contours with level tonetic contour,the other is to match other tonetic contour with high level contours.Taking the Optimality theory to analyse the bi-syllable sandhi of Huayang dialect, we obtain the constraints hierarchy which has interpretive capability:MAX-IO,DEP-IO,R.IDENT＞＞*R,*L-T3,*L＞＞*F＞＞H?,IDENT-Reg＞＞h-IIC...
