Well-known Japanese writer Shiganaoya is praised as the "god of fiction" for his amazing artistic talents and the superb writing style. Most of the works are based on his own life experiences, facts what he sees and hears and personal feelings. For him, real life and literature are closely related as the means and objectives. Viewed in his works, the most touched theme is the conflict and confrontation with father. The 16 years disharmony with father becomes great motive and source for his literature creation. Therefore, it is necessary to explore the relationship between Shiganaoya and his father so as to study the works better. The dissertation studies the principal contradiction and the nature of disharmony between Shiganaoya and his father. In the confrontation, Shiganaoya accepts the ideas of modern freedom, equality and the Christian baptism, he strives for the literature creation and becomes the mainstay of white birch, major literary genre in literature history of Japan. Great changes have taken place in the mood of Shiganaoya after the traffic accident, the daughter's death and other things. Interceded by his grandmother and stepmother, Shiganaoya compromised with his father at 1917, his works have begun showing a strong harmonic color. The dissertation discusses the process from opposition to reconciliation in his literature with focus on the relationship between father and son.
