Chinese traditional arts attach great importance to the intrinsic parts, pursuing the concise beauty and a philosophy realm where great sounds are silent and excellent skills seem awkward. This pursuit influenced Chinese traditional sculpture profoundly. Sculptors, who want to take down the touching moments in ordinary life, need an unusual artistic expression called'no-carving', which is concise, decent and vivid. It seems rough outside but means a lot inside. To achieve that, artists should observe life in sensitive perspective, experience life with sincere emotion. And most importantly, artists need to get the ability to capture the spirit beyond realism and have bold and innovative spirit.
