Music And Dance. Shandong Yinan Beizhai Han Tomb In One Hundred Play

This thesis researches the fresco of Musical Dance of Spectacle and Circus on the banner hung on the north wall of the middle section of a Han dynasty tomb in Beizhai village of Qinan, Shandong province. Based on the historical literatures and archaeological materials, the fresco of Musical Dance of Spectacle and Circus in Han dynasty tomb of Qinan are deeply researched, combining with the fresco found in other Han dynasty tombs. The thesis falls into 3 parts: the first part focuses on the Han dynasty tomb of Qinan, on the structure and constructing age in particular; the second part on the fresco, on the description of circus performances in Han dynasty, and on the revivification of Musical Dance of Spectacle and Circus in Han dynasty, basing on the description in by Zhang heng; the third part describes the performances site and decoration. The conclusion summarizes the theme of the thesis.
