| The root seeking literature, appearing in the 1980s, disappeared after a short glory. But we think that the trend of root seeking has not disappeared entirely after seek root. As a new value positioning and value orientation, the direction of consideration and criticism for Chinese traditional culture continues to exist in deep consciousness of many root seeking writers such as Mo Yan ,Zhang Wei, Chen Zhong-shi,etc., whose novels constitute the latent trend of contemporary literature. For convenience, the article defines these novels as post root seeking novels. I hope that I can find the difference and connection between root seeking novels and post root seeking novels based on the research of post root seeking novels. What is more, I hope that the cultural character -criticism of national character—on post root seeking novels can be revealed in the process of consideration and criticism of Chinese traditional culture.This article includes an introduction and six chapters. The introduction mainly discusses the background, definition and trait of art on post root seeking novels. And the others mainly discusses cultural character on post root seeking novels from conservation, self-weaked of spirit, philosophy of pragmatism, desire expansion, hypocrisy and jealousy. We hope that we can reveal and criticize bad national character in modern society. |
