An Analysis On Narrative Discourse Paradigm Of Root Seeking Novels

In the mid-1980 s, thoughts of “root-seeking literature” have a profound influence on all the literary creation of the new period and the germination and development of the whole society. This paper mainly reinterprets the “root-seeking novels” with the narrative discourse paradigm theory and from the cognitive aspect, narrative aspect and stylistic aspect.The first chapter mainly analyses the cognitive paradigm of root seeking novels form the aspect of cultural reconstruction, which is the embodiment and goal of root seeking novelists’ deep exploring in national culture, freedom, nature and national vitality root. Affected by modern consciousness, novelists gradually become aware of the superiority, the deep-rooted bad habits and complexity of the “root”. Correspondingly, they express their pursuit and calling, criticism and reflection, confusion and other cognitive attitudes in their work, whether different or same. Of course, the novelists have not stopped to seek the root of advantages and disadvantages of cognition, they prefer to set up the flag of cultural reconstruction, and on the depth of cultural cognition, clings to the belief that cultural enlightenment, adhere to the cultural ideal.The second chapter mainly discusses the narrate skills of the root seeking novels in the promotion of cultural fusion. Regional culture fusion and the collision of eastern and Western culture are the features that the root seeking novels differ from other schools. So in the narrate paradigm, this chapter not only analyzes magic realism, feeling narration, symbolism and metaphor and imagery and other modern narrative styles which are used by the roots seeking writers who learnt from western modernism and flexibly used them to narrate the traditional China national culture, but also a clear expression of the root seeking writers who learnt from ancient novels narrative mode method, for example, the reference and use of the painting of the prose narrative structure, restriction and omniscient narrative perspective.The third chapter is on the stylistic paradigm used by the root seeking novels in the interpretation of cultural display. The highlight of the writing paradigm presented in front of the reader is fit.This chapter mainly uses the philosophy principle of universality in specificity, analyses the refined and popular tastes of language, language emotional bias so as to uniquely display the seeking culture root.
