Through field study on Liu Wang temple fair and context analysis of its relevant literary narration, the relationship between the religious belief of the local people and the literary narration has been discussed in order to elaborate the creation, variation and its ritual performance of the literary narration in the folk religious belief and the ritual performance it is presented in. My thesis has argued that: (l)The folk belief and its ritual performance dynamically influence the oral narration of literature; (2)The creation and variation of the oral narration of literature is in a dynamic mutual construction and adjustment with the folk belief; (3)As a narrative expression of the folk belief, the variation of the content and expression of the oral literary narration depends on the multi-dimensions of folk belief; (4)The folk belief restricts the "sacred symbolism" of the literary narration system and the ritual performance of folk religion is the source for the oral narration of literature to be passed from generation to generation.
