Researching On Shi Dian Poems And Articles Of Confucius Temple In The Song Dynasty

As a kind of ancient rituals, ShiDian has a long history. Although the memorial objects were not fixed before the Zhou Dynasty, the nature of a school rite is very obvious. Because the rising status of Confucianism in the Han Dynasty, Confucius gradually becomes the worship objects. In the year A.D. 760, Shi Dian specifically refers to the ritual activities of Confucius and Tai Gong-Jiang. Based on the foundation of“Confucian Temple School” which formed in the Tang Dynasty, Shi Dian could be implemented for thousands of years. Confucius Temple seems to be in a static state as a symbol of a country's Confucian Orthodoxy, but the sacrifice system as a symbol of Governance Orthodoxy is always in a state of dynamic change. With the sacrifice system of Confucius Temple which gradually formed after the Tang Dynasty, the changed state reflects the evolution of Confucianism under the Governance Orthodoxy.At the same time, this historical process also achieve the rich connotation of Shi Dian.Because of ShiDian, the relationship between the imperial power and Confucianism further evolved into the interactions between the Governance Orthodoxy, Confucian Orthodoxy and ShiDian Ritual. As one of the relationship of Governance Orthodoxy and Confucian Orthodoxy, ShiDian is also one of the symptoms of an interaction between the two.The Song Dynasty is regarded as the most prosperous era of China culture, it also the key link for the ritual process of ShiDian. Around ShiDian Ritual, the scholars carried out a lot of poems and articles in the Song Dynasty. All kinds of literary form nearly 30, more than 900 articles, mainly divided into two systems: Shi Dian poems and ShiDian articles. Including Song, Zan, YueZhang, ZhaoLing, Zhi, YuBi, Zou, Shu, Biao,Inscription, and so on, which have diversified forms and wide-ranging contents.Compared with the ritual notes in a static form, as an integral part of the literature of Li and Yue, ShiDian poems and articles can enrich the connotation of ritual forms in e-angle and multi-level for its vividness and vitality. Pay attention and systematic research on the ShiDian poems and articles, it will help to enhance the understanding of the traditional forms of Li and Yue. Based on this, the paper tries to use the research method of combination of literature and history and put the ShiDian poems and articles of Confucius Temple in the Song Dynasty as the object of study. It is necessary toapplying the current related research achievements in the field of historiography services for literature study, and pay attention to the literary creation to prove and explain historical phenomenon. Based on the literature, it is also necessary to examining the cultural phenomenon of Shi Dian in the category of Li and Yue.The full text is divided into five chapters. The first chapter mainly examining the ShiDian system from the diachronic perspective. Around ShiDian ritual, two sections respectively discuss the evolution of ShiDian system before the Song Dynasty and new changes of ShiDian in the Song Dynasty. The three sections of the second chapter mainly examining the Shi Dian system from the synchronic perspective, respectively discuss the context of Li and Yue, connotation of ritual, and particular emphasis the contribution to ShiDian system from Zhu Xi. The two sections of the third chapter respectively stress the Li and Yue. The former focuses on the writing background,application stage, stylistic features of ShiDian YueZhang in the Song Dynasty. And compared with the ShiDian YueZhang in the Tang Dynasty, in order to understand the emperor's emphasis on Li and Yue. The second section is mainly based on the description of ShiDian YueZhang, in order to further understanding the rituals steps of honouring Confucius and the deep meaning of YaSong traditional. The three sections of the fourth chapter mainly discuss the ShiDian articles. Based on the stylistic features,content, and function characteristic of 30 kinds of styles and more than 900 articles in the Whole Song Articles, the articles can be divided into three sections. The three sections of the fifth chapter mainly discuss the ShiDian poems.The first section discusses the Zan poems which written by the emperor and his ministers in the Song Dynasty. The second section mainly discusses the 29 metrical poems in the Whole Song Poems which reflect the situation of ShiDian. The third section mainly discusses the 8metrical poems of fast which written by scholars in the Song Dynasty. In general, the three chapters explore the ShiDian YueZhang, ShiDian poems and ShiDian articles based on the stylistic features.The purpose of ShiDian in the Song Dynasty is political in nature, but the effect is culture. On the one hand, funeral oration and other literary creations does exists stylized tendency, some literary creations which aimed to the actual function are really with no literary. On the other hand, it is an objective existence and we can't ignore or negativethe study of them for the reason of lack of literature. At he same time, the Shi Dian poems and articles of Confucius Temple which written by scholars in the Song Dynasty really reflect the literary characteristics and artistic effects. Shi Dian poems and articles of Confucius Temple not only reflect the perfect etiquette, the respect of Confucianism,context of Li and Yue, connotation of ritual which in the scholars' efforts, but also reflect the scholars' creative psychological and emotional experience in the Song Dynasty.
