From the end of The First World War, Japan started the research of chemical weapons (poison gases), and killed a large amount of Chinese soldiers and civilians when Japan invaded China. Until now, the chemical weapons that Japan deserted in China are still a great menace to Chinese people.The thesis focuses on the army of Japan' s research, produce and use of the chemical weapons, and the evil consequence in both China and Japan. Foreword introduces the current research in Japan and China; Part one is a panorama of the research of the chemical weapons in Japan, including the start of the research, the establishment of the standard mode of the chemical weapon, the education, the preparation aimed at Russia, the key men in Japan' s chemical war and technically which level did the Japanese army achieve. Part two is the general situation how and why did Japan use chemical weapons in China. Part three, the harm that the deserted chemical weapons brought to Chinese people after the war. Part four, the chemical weapons also brought Japan itself evil consequence, such as the harm to the workmen, the harm to the civilians, pollution problem and huge amounts of money for the toxic chemicals disposal.
