Duketar,a small village in Dular County of Molidawa Dagur Atonomy District, is a multiracial residence of four ethnic groups,according to their population size, Owenke,Han,Dagur and Mongolia.In the paper,the languages used in the village is investigated.The Owenke people of Duketar speak both Dagur language and Chinese,besides their mother tongue.Dagur language apart,Dagur people speak Owenke language and Chinese.Han people there understand Dagur language though most of them don't speak the language.Those Mongolian of Duketar can speak Mogolian,Dagur and Chinese,besides they can follow the Owenke.Based on the first-hand investigation in this area and guided by the theories of descriptive linguistic,contrastive linguistic and cultural linguistic,the pluralism of Duketar,the languages preservation and multilingualism were analyzed and studied so as to research the language ecology,and the attitudes of people toward the language using.The thesis consists of four parts.In the preface,the origin, purposes and the value of the research are interpreted.Meanwhile,the case study about the multilingualism in the plural-ethnic residence and the research results about Dagur and Owenke are introduced.Besides,the detail information about the population,age stucture,ratio of ethnic groups,careers of people,gender ratio,etc.are provided as well.The second part(Chapter one),is the data analysis of Dagur language. in this part,the preservation and the multilingualism and the language-using attitude are depicted and studied.The part three(chapter two),is the data analysis of Dagur language. in this part,the preservation and the multilingualism and the language-using attitude are depicted and studied.In Part four(conclusion),based on the study of the former parts,the language-pluralism is analyzed.Based on the scientific survey on the people of different ages in the groups,the features of language preservation are demonstrated.So we can do further research on the culture developing in the area.Secondly,the features of culture identity in themultilingual environment of Dular are analyzed,and the leading reasons of these features are concluded in this part.Last but not the least,the attitudes to language preserving and using in the daily life of the ethnic groups in Dular,and the expectation,requisition to the language preservation of their offspring of the ethnic groups are illustrated.
