On The Farm Of The Tang Dynasty Poetry

So far, a few people have researched on the farm poems of Tang dynasty in its entirety, some of them select pastoral poem or pity peasant as the article of their subject. I want to fill in the gaps in the fields by this article. Content of Tang farm poem is a focal point in the paper.This paper consists of five parts:The first part is about how the farm poems bring out the tribulation of peasant in Tang dynasty. Such as, warfare, corvee, exploitation, taxes and disaster. Although Tang dynasty is a pinnacle of Chinese feudalism in history, the peasant's life was not better than other feudal dynasties. Warfare made three results. The first was farms to be desolated; the second was farmers to be driven from their home. The third was taxes increased rapidly. As a result, peasants of Tang dynasty could not resist natural calamities. Farm poems of Tang dynasty exceed other dynasty before it in scope and depth.The second part is about Countrywomen and their family which include women's lower position, and women's complain, and women's difficulty of marriage in Tang dynasty. The phenomenon was came into being by women's quantity is not equal to men's.The third part is about festive life of countryside. It includes countryside's scenery, famer's happy life and folk-custom in Tang dynasty. In a ward, the happy life is variety at countries.The fourth part is about agricultural conditions. In farm poems of Tang dynasty, a lot of agriculture's imago has already come forth, for example, dead stock, crop, and so on. From the selection of agriculture imago, we can see that some farm poems have put up a new trend which regard common as beauty. Farm poets of Tang have almost exploited the range of farm poem.In fifth part, the writer sum up two outstanding artistic characteristic. One is easy understand, the other is straight expression. The reason of forming these characteristic was decided by farm poem's contents and poet's purpose.The article chooses a lot of farm poems from Quan Tang Shi and Quan Tang Shi Wai Bian, and discusses its content and artistic characteristics, and its infection to poetry in Song dynasty. In conclusion, the article fills in the gap in the fields of research of farm poem. I wish it will stimulate in the field to make further achievements to the study of poetry of Tang dynasty.
