This essay studies on politics of Beijing of the Western Han from three aspects: the administrative system, the political situation and the relation of nation, taking advantage of the research achievements of predecessors, histotical data and archeology materials,At first, there are four parts in studying on the administrative system of Beijing of the Western Han. The one is discussing the governing policy of Beijing of the Western Han. The conclusion is the system of feudal and the system of prefectures-counties are both taken in Beijing area, but considering of the time, the system of prefectures and counties is a transitional period, so the governing policy of Beijing is the systerm of kingdom. The second one is reappearing the political division of an area for administrative purposes of Beijing of the Western Han. The conclusion is Beijing of the Western Han undergoes either the system of prefectures and counties or systerm of kingdom, and in the period of kingdom, it goes through the systerm of kingdom containing prefectures to the systerm of kingdom-prefectures. The third one is carding the administrative organization, basing on the histotical data and archeology materials. It contains the organization of prefecture and principality, the organization of county, and the organization of xiang li. The conclusion is the organization of Beijing of the Western Han either follow the common administrative organization or make a proper adjusting and supplement. The fouth one is discussing the a provincial governor of Youzhou.Secondly, studying on the political situation of Beijing of the Western Han , and it is departed there periods: the late Qin, Emperor Gao to Emperor Wu, and Emperor Zhao to Wangmang. In late Qin, Beijing area was in chaos and social upheavals brought about by war. Along with Liubang rooted out Zangtu and Luwan, then Emperor Jing and Emperor Wu weakened the power of Yan kingdom, the political situation was gradually stable. However, in the period of Emperor Zhao, prince of Yan revolted, and the political situation of Beijing began to become unstable. Especially after Emperor Zhao, because of the corrupt and the strong of landoweners, the contradiction is very serious, untill the uprising broke out, then the political situation of Beijing was thoroughly unstable.At last, studying on the relation of nation, it mainly discusses the relation between Beijing of the Western Han and the Huns, Wuhuan. As far as the the relation between Beijing of the Western Han and the Huns was concerned, since Liubang taking the policy of making peace by a marriage between the Han and Hun, Beijing area nearly was not harassed. In the period of Emperor Wu, he began to quell Hun, and defeated them. Then Hun were gradually weak, and owed allegiance to Han. So Han and Hun started to make peace, the pepole living in Beijing area often flowed with Hun. But in the period of Wangmang, his policy made Hun angry, and Hun began to invade Beijing area. As far as the the relation between Beijing of the Western Han and the Wuhuan was concerned, before Emperor Wu, Wuhuan was enslaved by Hun. After Wuhuan departed from Hun, they began to live near Beijing area, and the Emperor of Han also set a special position—Huwuhuanxiaowei to custody them. In the period of Xin Dynasty, Wangmang's policy impaired Wuhuan's benefit, so Wuhuan started to rebel, and invaded Beijing area.
