The Use Of Ceramic Materials In The Public Art

Any element in the public art is used to connect the people, nature and society in order to reach a kind of hamonious situation. Therefore when focusing on our public art, we should use these elements to create the public environment fit for people's lives. In another word, that is the art creating the space.The ceramic materials has the nature to connect people, nature and society with a strong humanistic spirit, so when we are in use of various factors to create public works of art, we should take account of the ceramic materials.In this paper, the author discusses the necessity of the ceramic materials' intervention into the public space from the following two aspects: the characteristics of ceramic materials and its inherent spirit.
