| This paper agrees with the view that "as...as"(åƒ...ä¸€æ ·) sentence can indicate two types of syntactic meanings,i.e.the metaphorical meaning and comparative meaning.It further proposes the grammatical marks and criteria of this classification,as well as the grammatical features of both types.Also,this paper spares an effort to discuss the negative form of this "as...as" sentence.Chapter one gives a brief introduction on the dissertation,including the background of selecting this topic,the importance statement,the theories and research methods used,the main content and the corpus sources.Chapter two mainly deals with structure types of phrases like "åƒ...ä¸€æ ·" and"è·Ÿ...似的".After reviewing two representative accounts,it is claimed that "AXB" structure should be considered as the particle phrase,which paves the way for the analysis of the whole sentence.Chapter three puts this type of phrases into different contexts.Being various syntactic components in sentences,they have different grammatical functions.Chapter four discusses the restraining factors of the grammatical meanings of "AXB" sentences,including the grammatical degree,the denotation property of X,the category similarities and differences of X and X',and the similarity features between X and X',etc.Chapter five analyses the negative form of "as...as" sentence.It mainly proposes two common negative forms,i.e."Xä¸åƒYä¸€æ ·/é‚£æ ·R" and "Xä¸åƒY那么R".Chapter six draws the conclusions. |
