Study On Sentence-Final Particle "Haole" And Teaching It As A Foreign Language

This article treats "haole" as the mood particle at the end of the sentence and takes it as the research object.On the basis of reviewing previous research results and the online corpus of the Chinese Linguistic Research Center of Peking University,the author has a full understanding of the basic profile of the mood particle at the end of the sentence.In the process of research,this paper uses the methods of combining induction and deduction,comparison and analysis,and introspective sense and corpus statistical investigation to explore the distribution characteristics and mood meaning of the mood particle "haole".Finally,based on teaching of particle words in the HSK Standard Course and teaching experience apply research result to teaching Chinese as a foreign language.This article is divided into six chapters.In the Chapter 1,the research content,research methods and research goals of this article are determined,and the previous research results are summarized.The second chapter mainly determines the part-of-speech particle of "haole",and analyzes its distribution characteristics.Through analysis,it is found that "haole"has a very strong adhesion,and has some common meanings with some adverbs.The third chapter explores the selective exclusion relationship between the end-sentence particle "haole" and the four types of single sentences(declarative,imperative,interrogative,and exclamatory).The fourth chapter analyzes the mood of "haole,which based on its distribution in the four types of sentences.First,the "haole" mood function is divided into two parts:communication and doubt,and then classified it into different types according to the tone of the original sentence(S).There are mainly six types that is suggestions,relief,examples,restoring,concessions and indifferent category,then compare it with the tone of the current sentence(S+haole),whether there is a change in tone,or whether a new tone has been added,so as to extract the meaning of"haole".The fifth chapter is applied to teaching Chinese as a foreign language.It based on the existing particle teaching and teaching principles to find a scientific approach teaching "haole".Chapter six is conclusion.It summarized the research results,and explained the innovations and deficiencies of the article.
