Hume In The Form Of Inquiry

Hume's problem is an extremely important problem in the history of philosophy. After David Hume raised this problem,many well-known philosophers have discussed it,such as Kant,Mill,Carnap,Popper,Goodman and so on.People concerned about this issue because not only it challenge the human intellect,but also a lot of philosophers failed to answer the question.In particular,after entering the twentieth century,Quine,Goodman and others found that the problem is not limited to its original form,it also exists even if we accept in the inductive method.This new problem is so-called "new mystery of induction."The main purpose of this paper is to explore a new path of Hume's problem,a large part of this path is formalized,but it still needs a lot of visual description to supplement the argument,strictly speaking,I am unable to make a complete answer.I can only make a new approach to explore the problem.This main idea of this article can be decomposed into three parts,corresponding to the history of the main three issues raised by three philosophers.They are Peirce,Hume and Goodman.Logically the problem raised by Peirce is a lemma in answering Hume's problem.But the problem itself has an independent value.Discussion about Goodman is an extension of the Hume's problem.The full text of this article is divided into three parts,corresponding with the three parts mentioned above.The first part is a brief introduction of Hume's problem. Then I reviewed some of the most famous questions of the problem.Then I focus on Peirce problem,it generally made of semi-form.The second part is the focal point of this article,and discussed the problem directly.I will first discuss a more intuitive, and then adopt a more general and formal research,but in many ways,limited to the author's ability,I can not do a strict proof,but only proved in a framework of ideas. The main strategy is a semi-matrix of portraying a complete form of induction.In the second part of the final,I use the conclusions of the first part to complete the discussion of the rationality of induction.The third part is divided into two parts, corresponding to Goodman's discussion on Hume's problem.The discussion of the anti-fact conditions for the sentence shows that we can not make a translation of a causal relationship between the form of rules and casual relation.The discussions of the new mystery of induction show that the challenges in new conditions also can be solved..
