With researching The Chinese Historical Geography Semi-monthly Magazine(named Yugong Semi-monthly Magazine in Chinese) and Yugong academy,This article aimed to discuss Chinese nation view of the magazine's authors.Yugong Semi-monthly Magazine was founded by Mr.Jiegang Gu and Mr.Qixiang Tan who were both teachers.It was been publicated totally 741 articles,82 issues,7 volumes during 1st,March 1934 to 16th,July 1937.The magazine was a pure academic publication edited by scholars and students.The original propose of Yugong was researching geographical evolution,but their research scope gradually increased the border area history and the ethnic evolution history studies. Due to the extremely serious border crisis in China,frontier history and ethnic evolution history became main part of magazine.So the content of magazine included ancient geographical evolution,border area research of northeast,northwest,north and westsouth in China,and Chinese ethnic evolution history.With analyzing these articals,the writer found the Chinese nation view of the magazine's authors was great influenced by Mr.Jiegang Gu who was the main founder.The Chinese nation view of Mr.Jiegang Gu was Chinese Nation was one ethnic.His view was great related to Mr.Xiaotong Fei's Chinese nation view——"the pattern of diversity in unit of the Chinese nation".It made many achievements in short time and made great influence at that time so that many people began to pay attention on frontier crisis.In addition,their research hit back Japanese scholars' malicious views in debate.The magazine encouraged youth to publish their articles to develop their research career. A lot of young student became historical geography scholars later so that it was a basis to found the historical geography discipline.What the research method that seeking national revival in the real history and knowledge was still valuable in modern times.It's meanful to deal with ethnic problem and construct Chinese nation view today.The full article was divided into three parts.:The first part was the introduction about selecting this topic's goal and significance,the related research results and what research methodⅠadopted.The second part was the main body part of this article divided into two chapters.The first chapter mainly introduced Yugong Semi-monthly Magazine and Yugong academy about their original propose,main authors,research contents and achievements in many aspects.The second chapter narrated and commented the Chinese nation view of magazine authors.The writer especially analyzed Mr.Jiegang Gu's Chinese nation view.In the basis of analysis,the writer concluded the character, shortcoming and significance of magazine authors' Chinese nation view and discussed the relation and the difference with the modern Chinese nation view.
