Semantics Of Musical Meaning Study

The meaning of music is the eternal topic of understanding music.Chinese and foreign musicians and theorists of the past and present have been discussing it from different levels as well as points of view. In terms of exploring it. This article introduces concept of Semantic of Semeiology to the interpretation of music, and trying to build a semantic musical theory.According to the investigation of several semantic concepts, semantic contains five elements:object, concept,symbol, user and environment. Therefore the dissertation is based on the five elements and to explore more from different aspects.This article is divided into three parts: the first chapter mainly research on foundation and background of semantic , and overview the point of symbols and semantic.The second chapter will introduce the semantic topic of music, from the content of music semantic, and music expansion of music semantic ,then to determine the form of the existence of semantic music and its characteristics gradually. The third chapter studies relationship between music semantic and musix text and the process of the generating of music semanticfrom the specific music practice and two different angles:Synchronic and Diachronic. Through the identification and analysis of music to exclude non-semantic argument first, while certainly aimed at affirming the universal link in the the non-music phenomenon of music and music is the nature of music symbols in culture system .and from deeper levels to explore semantic significance and interrelatedness of music and its significance.
